A Letter from the Founder

The seed has always been ours to grow.
Today, it is also ours to give.

Dear Farmer Friend,

For more than three decades, our family has lived in the seed fields of Telangana — first as farmers, then as seed organisers and producers. We grew up inside India's seed supply chain. We learned its standards, mastered its protocols, and watched what good seed does in a real farmer's field.

"A farmer's season depends on the seed in his hand. We take that responsibility seriously — because in agriculture, trust is not written on paper, it is proven at harvest."

Over the years, a quiet question took root in the soil beneath our feet: what if we brought that same quality to farmers under our own name? Today, every packet that leaves our Telangana facility carries our family name. That is not a small thing.

We are not the biggest seed company in India. We do not claim to be. But we stand behind every seed we sell — because it comes from the same fields, the same hands and the same dryer that have produced quality seed at the highest standards demanded in this country, season after season for over sixty seasons.

Welcome to Yellina.

Chapter IIWhy Yellina
Four Reasons to Choose Yellina

What makes our seed different in your field.

We are not a new company learning the business. We are a thirty-plus-year seed producer bringing our own hybrids — built on the same discipline that India's most exacting seed networks demand.

Below, the four commitments that shape every pack of Yellina seed from our Telangana facility to your field.

01
We know your field.
Our seed is bred, tested and proven on Indian soil — not imported genetics with a foreign stamp. From Khammam to Dewas to Patna, a Yellina hybrid is shaped by 30+ years of real seasons, real rains, and our neighbours' fields.
02
We own our drying.
Moisture ruins more seed than pests do. Our drying & processing plant is ours — not rented, not shared. Every seed is dried under our supervision, so our germination numbers hold in the field, not just on the label.
03
Our family name on every pack.
Yellina is not a brand invented by an agency — it is a family name. When something goes right, we hear about it. When something goes wrong, we hear about it faster, and we fix it. Small enough to answer the phone, large enough to stand behind what we sell.
04
We show up at harvest.
A Yellina pack is the start of a relationship, not the end of a sale. Our team visits farmers through the season — the way our family has worked the seed fields for three decades. Your field is where our next hybrid is born.

Our quality promise to every farmer and dealer.

A truthful label is the legal minimum. At Yellina, it is the floor we start from — not the bar we are trying to clear.

Produced under our own supervision — parent seed to pack, same hands, same fields.
Dried in our own facility — moisture is where germination dies.
Lot-tested before packing — germination & purity checked every lot, not just sampled.
Treated with Thiram 40% & Deltamethrin 2.5% — protected from seed-borne disease & storage pests.
Traceable packaging — lot number on every pack for full traceability.
Make in India — produced, packed & marketed from Telangana.

Coming Soon to Our Portfolio

Wheat & Mustard — next from our fields.

After three decades of producing maize and paddy in our Telangana fields, we are extending our portfolio to two crops that share the same fundamentals — tested in real fields, dried in our own facility, traceable to the lot.

Below, what we are putting in the ground now and when you will see it on your dealer's shelf.

Farmer's Field Guide

From sowing to harvest — our guidance at every stage.

01 Land preparation

  • Plough deep (20–25 cm) to break compacted soil
  • Add FYM 4–5 tonnes per acre before final harrow
  • Fine tilth for paddy, good aggregate for maize
  • Soil test every 2 years — we can help arrange

02 Sowing & spacing

  • Maize: 60 × 20 cm · 8–10 kg seed/acre
  • Hybrid Paddy: 20 × 15 cm · 6–8 kg/acre
  • Improved Paddy: 20 × 15 cm · 20–25 kg/acre
  • Sweet Corn: 60 × 25 cm · 5–6 kg/acre

03 Fertilizer schedule

  • Basal: full P & K, 1/3 N at sowing
  • Top-dress 1: 1/3 N at 30–35 days (knee-high)
  • Top-dress 2: 1/3 N at tasselling / panicle initiation
  • Zinc & boron for grain filling — apply at flowering

04 Pests & diseases

  • Fall armyworm: scout weekly; spray at 5% leaf damage
  • Stem borer (paddy): use pheromone traps as early warning
  • Blast: avoid excess N; use tolerant varieties
  • Always rotate chemistries — ask your Yellina dealer
